Bernd Begemann is a German singer-songwriter, guitarist and central figure in the music associated with the Hamburger Schule. Born in Bad Salzuflen in 1962, he first recorded with Die Antwort and later released albums under his own name and with Die Befreiung, including Rezession, Baby! and Ich erkläre diese Krise für beendet. The Bernd Begemann Show at Knust is a recurring concert series built around his songs and invited guests. He also plays clubs and small theatres solo with guitar or backed by Die Befreiung; the recurring series is based in Hamburg.
