Artist
Ada Lea is the recording name of Canadian singer-songwriter and visual artist Alexandra Levy, who is based in Montreal. She writes indie rock and folk songs marked by close observation and narrative detail. Her catalogue includes the albums what we say in private and one hand on the steering wheel the other sewing a garden, as well as songs such as “damn” and “writer in ny.” In 2022, Ada Lea performed songs from one hand on the steering wheel the other sewing a garden for NPR’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series. That year she also brought the album to Chicago for a band performance at Pitchfork Music Festival.
