Adrian Quesada in Highland

Adrian Quesada is an American guitarist, producer and songwriter based in Austin, Texas. He co-founded the Latin-funk orchestra Grupo Fantasma and the psychedelic-soul duo Black Pumas, whose best-known song is “Colors.” His solo albums include the Spanish-language ballad project Boleros Psicodélicos and the largely instrumental Jaguar Sound. Grupo Fantasma toured internationally and backed Prince at several performances, while Quesada also took the stage with the funk group Brownout. After forming Black Pumas with singer Eric Burton, he toured with the duo’s full band behind their 2019 debut, appearing at South by Southwest and Newport Folk Festival.
