Marc Cohn & Shawn Colvin in Denver

Marc Cohn is an American singer-songwriter and pianist, born in Cleveland in 1959, who writes folk-rooted pop and soft rock. His self-titled 1991 debut produced “Walking in Memphis,” “Silver Thunderbird” and “True Companion,” and he received the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The concert album Live 04/05 documented his mid-2000s performances in theatres and listening rooms. In 2005, he survived being shot during an attempted carjacking after a concert in Denver and later returned to touring. His subsequent stage work included performances with the gospel group the Blind Boys of Alabama, preserved on Work to Do.

Shawn Colvin is an American folk-pop singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Vermillion, South Dakota, in 1956. Her debut album, Steady On, established her as a recording artist, while “Sunny Came Home,” from A Few Small Repairs, won Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. In 1997, Colvin performed on the inaugural Lilith Fair, joining a touring festival centered on women in music. She later toured with Steve Earle behind their 2016 collaborative album, Colvin & Earle. In 2019, the Steady On 30th Anniversary Tour featured complete acoustic performances of her debut album.
