Artist
Al Bano is an Italian pop singer, born Albano Carrisi in Cellino San Marco in 1943. He is known for the solo song “Nel sole” and for his long partnership with Romina Power, which produced “Felicità,” “Sharazan” and “Ci sarà.” The latter won the 1984 Sanremo Music Festival. Al Bano and Romina Power represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1976 and again in 1985. They reunited for concerts at Crocus City Hall in Moscow in 2013, then brought the renewed partnership to a televised 2015 concert at Arena di Verona.
