Amenra in Lucerne

Amenra are a Belgian post-metal band formed in Kortrijk in 1999 by vocalist Colin H. van Eeckhout and guitarist Mathieu Vandekerckhove. Their slow, heavy music draws on sludge, doom and post-hardcore, and is closely associated with the Mass album sequence, including Mass V and Mass VI. Later releases include De Doorn, while “A Solitary Reign” and “Razoreater” are among their best-known songs. At Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Amenra have performed both full-band electric sets and acoustic concerts. The acoustic format is documented on Alive; their European touring has also included support shows for Neurosis.
