Américo in Cornellà de Llobregat

Américo is a Chilean cumbia singer born in Arica in 1977. After performing with Grupo Alegría, he pursued a solo career and became known for albums including Así Es and Yo Soy, as well as songs such as “El Embrujo,” “Te Vas” and “Que Levante la Mano.” In 2010, he performed at the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar in the Quinta Vergara amphitheatre. He fronts a tropical band in concert, drawing his set from his solo cumbia catalogue. He has also performed for audiences in Peru and Argentina.
