Ana Torroja in Poblado Sancti Petri

Ana Torroja is a Spanish pop singer born in Madrid in 1959, best known as the lead vocalist of Mecano. Her recordings with the group include “Hijo de la Luna,” “Mujer contra mujer” and “Me cuesta tanto olvidarte,” while her solo career began with the album Puntos cardinales and later included the Aleks Syntek duet “Duele el amor.” The Girados tour paired her with Miguel Bosé in 2000, as both singers performed material from their respective catalogues. She later took the Conexión project on tour, combining solo songs and Mecano material, while the Volver tour again placed both parts of her recording career in the same set. Ana Torroja continues to perform solo concerts in Mexico City and Bogotá.
