Artist
Maneva is a Brazilian reggae band formed in São Paulo in 2005. Its songs place Portuguese-language pop melodies and vocals over reggae rhythms; the band is known for tracks including “Saudades do Tempo,” “Pisando Descalço” and “Luz que Me Traz Paz.” The concert film Maneva 15 Anos was recorded at Hopi Hari in Vinhedo as an anniversary survey of the band’s catalogue. Maneva later recorded the audiovisual project Tudo Vira Reggae at Vibra São Paulo, building the set around reggae interpretations of Brazilian popular songs.
