Ásgeir in Frankfurt am Main

Ásgeir is an Icelandic singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays folk-rooted electronic pop. His 2012 debut album, Dýrð í dauðaþögn, was followed by the English-language version In the Silence, whose lyrics were adapted with John Grant. “King and Cross,” “Going Home” and “Torrent” are among his best-known songs. In 2014, Ásgeir played Coachella during the international touring that followed In the Silence. Later that summer, he performed songs from the record at Glastonbury Festival.
