Atmosphere in Santa Cruz

Atmosphere is an American hip-hop duo formed in Minneapolis in 1996 by rapper Slug and producer Ant. They are known for Slug’s personal storytelling and Ant’s sample-based production, heard on albums including God Loves Ugly, Seven’s Travels and When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold, as well as songs such as “Sunshine” and “Yesterday.” Atmosphere played the Vans Warped Tour in 2004, then established the recurring Welcome to Minnesota Tour through cities around their home state. They have since performed in clubs, theatres, amphitheatres and at festivals, while their hometown concert history includes repeated headline shows at First Avenue.
