Aviv Geffen in Tel Aviv

Aviv Geffen is an Israeli singer-songwriter and rock musician, born in Ramat Gan in 1973. His Hebrew-language alternative rock catalogue includes the album Ze Rak Or Hayareach and the songs “Achshav Me'unan” (“Cloudy Now”) and “Livkot Lecha” (“Cry for You”). He also co-founded the rock project Blackfield with Steven Wilson. At the 1995 peace rally in Tel Aviv where Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated later that evening, he performed “Livkot Lecha,” which became closely associated with the public mourning that followed. In 2007, a Blackfield concert at New York’s Bowery Ballroom was recorded for the release Live in NYC. He also stages the recurring Rock Ball, or Neshef Rock, concerts in Israel.
