Aya Nakamura is a French-Malian singer, born in Bamako in 1995 and raised in Aulnay-sous-Bois. She makes French-language pop and R&B built on Afrobeats rhythms. Her 2018 album Nakamura produced the signature songs “Djadja,” “Copines” and “Pookie.” She performed at Coachella in 2022 before taking the DNK Tour to arenas, including three concerts at Accor Arena in 2023. In 2024, she appeared at the Summer Olympics opening ceremony, performing on the Pont des Arts alongside the French Republican Guard.
