Barclay James Harvest feat. Les Holroyd is the Les Holroyd-led continuation of the English progressive rock band formed in Oldham in 1966. An original bassist, singer and songwriter, Les Holroyd helped shape a catalogue that includes “Mocking Bird,” “Hymn” and “Poor Man’s Moody Blues,” as well as the albums Everyone Is Everybody Else and Gone to Earth. In 1980, Les Holroyd performed with the original group at its free concert outside the Reichstag in West Berlin, later released as A Concert for the People (Berlin). The band played Treptower Park seven years later, and the subsequent Les Holroyd-led lineup carried the same repertoire into its own tours. It also documented an orchestral concert format on Classic Meets Rock – Live, recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
