Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in Riverhead

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is an American swing band formed in Ventura, California, in 1989 by singer-guitarist Scotty Morris and drummer Kurt Sodergren. The band appeared in the film Swingers performing “You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)” and “Go Daddy-O”; its best-known records include Americana Deluxe and This Beautiful Life. A residency at the Derby in Los Angeles provided an early live base in the 1990s, and the group later performed during the Super Bowl XXXIII halftime show in 1999 alongside Stevie Wonder and Gloria Estefan. Its recurring Wild and Swingin’ Holiday Party theatre tour draws on seasonal swing arrangements and material from Everything You Want for Christmas.
