Billy Idol in Bangor

Billy Idol is a British rock singer born in 1955, known for the songs “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell,” “Eyes Without a Face” and “Dancing with Myself.” He first recorded as the frontman of the punk band Generation X before building a solo catalogue rooted in new wave and hard rock, including the albums Billy Idol and Rebel Yell. On the Rebel Yell Tour in 1984, Billy Idol played arenas in North America and Europe, then followed it with the Whiplash Smile Tour in 1986 and 1987. In 2016, he opened the Billy Idol: Forever residency at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. Billy Idol performs with a full rock band. Guitarist Steve Stevens, who recorded many of his best-known songs, has repeatedly returned to his touring lineups. Billy Idol performed at Rock in Rio in 1991 and at Download Festival in 2010.
