Artist
BoDeans are an American rock band formed in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in 1983. Their roots-oriented sound took shape on the debut album Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams, while “Closer to Free,” later used as the theme for the television drama Party of Five, became their best-known song. In 1987, BoDeans opened for U2 on dates of The Joshua Tree Tour. The band later documented its years of club and theatre touring through concert recordings made between 1989 and 1995, released together as the double live album Joe Dirt Car.
