Brandon Coleman in West Hollywood

Brandon Coleman is an American keyboardist, vocalist, composer and producer from Los Angeles. A member of the West Coast Get Down collective and a longtime collaborator with Kamasi Washington, he plays jazz-funk, soul and R&B shaped by synthesizers and vocoder vocals. His solo albums include Resistance and Interstellar Black Space. Brandon Coleman has toured internationally as a keyboardist in Kamasi Washington’s band, performing material from The Epic and Heaven and Earth in theatres and at festivals. His own concerts put him on keyboards and vocoder at the head of a full band, while his work with Washington is documented in the ensemble’s NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert.
