Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers in North Bethesda

Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers is an American rock band formed in the late 1990s around Virginia-born pianist, singer and songwriter Bruce Hornsby. The group plays piano-led rock shaped by jazz, folk and improvisation. Hornsby is known for songs including “The Way It Is,” “Mandolin Rain” and “The Valley Road,” while albums made with the band include Big Swing Face, Levitate and Rehab Reunion. Here Come the Noise Makers documented the touring band through performances recorded between 1998 and 2000. The concert film Three Nights on the Town followed the group on the road in 2004, and the live album Bride of the Noisemakers drew on concerts recorded between 2007 and 2009. The concert format is a full band led from the piano, and songs are frequently rearranged or extended through improvisation.
