Bugge Wesseltoft in Kristiansand

Bugge Wesseltoft is a Norwegian pianist, keyboardist, composer and producer, born in Porsgrunn in 1964. He plays electronic-leaning jazz shaped by improvisation, piano, synthesizers and programmed rhythms. He is best known for the New Conception of Jazz project and albums including New Conception of Jazz, Moving and the solo piano recording It’s Snowing on My Piano. Bugge Wesseltoft toured internationally with New Conception of Jazz, presenting the project in jazz clubs and at festivals. He later performed duo concerts with German electronic musician Henrik Schwarz, a collaboration documented on Duo, and returned to a trio setting in Rymden with Dan Berglund and Magnus Öström.
