Artist
Camilla George is a Nigerian-born British alto saxophonist and composer who grew up in London. Her jazz draws on West African music, and her recordings include Isang, The People Could Fly and Ibio-Ibio, an album shaped by Ibibio history and culture. Tomorrow’s Warriors helped Camilla George develop as a performer before she played with ensembles including Jazz Jamaica and the Nu Civilisation Orchestra. She has since led her own group at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and appeared at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Love Supreme Festival.
