Artist
Cari Cari are an Austrian alternative-rock duo formed by Stephanie Widmer and Alexander Köck in 2011. Their music pairs western-film guitar lines with drums, didgeridoo and shared vocals; the albums Anaana and Welcome to Kookoo Island, alongside songs including “Summer Sun” and “Nothing’s Older Than Yesterday,” established their sound. In 2018, Cari Cari performed at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. Their duo setup places Köck on guitar and vocals and Widmer on drums, vocals and didgeridoo, a format they later brought to festivals including Melt! and Sziget.
