Carmen Consoli in Atella

Carmen Consoli is an Italian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Catania in 1974, who plays rock and pop shaped by Sicilian folk traditions. She made her Sanremo Music Festival debut in 1996 with “Amore di plastica”; her catalogue also includes the albums Confusa e felice and Stato di necessità, and the song “L’ultimo bacio.” In 2001, she performed with an orchestra at Teatro Greco di Taormina, a concert released as L’anfiteatro e la bambina impertinente. She served as musical director of La Notte della Taranta in Melpignano in 2016, then toured the following year with voice, guitar, violin and cello on Eco di sirene.
