Artists
Charlotte Cardin is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Montreal who makes pop shaped by electronic production and jazz-inflected vocals. Her best-known work includes the songs “Main Girl,” “Meaningless” and “Confetti,” as well as the albums Phoenix and 99 Nights. On the Phoenix Tour, she played theatres and concert halls across North America and Europe after releasing her debut album. She followed it with the 99 Nights Tour, which included arena concerts at Bell Centre and Zénith de Paris.
Asaf Avidan is an Israeli singer-songwriter, born in Jerusalem in 1980, whose music draws on folk, rock and blues. He first recorded with Asaf Avidan & the Mojos; their debut album, The Reckoning, included “Reckoning Song,” later reworked by Wankelmut as “One Day/Reckoning Song.” His solo albums include Different Pulses, Gold Shadow and The Study on Falling. The Back to Basics tour presented Avidan alone, switching among instruments and using loops to construct the arrangements onstage. He subsequently took songs from The Study on Falling to European theatres with a band, while his festival appearances have included Montreux Jazz Festival and Sziget Festival.
