Chihiro Yonekura is a Japanese singer-songwriter known for pop songs created for anime. She made her recording debut in 1996 with “Arashi no Naka de Kagayaite,” the opening theme for Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, and later sang “WILL” for Hoshin Engi and “Yakusoku no Basho e” for Kaleido Star. Yonekura has performed her anime themes at Animelo Summer Live, where she appeared as part of a large concert devoted to anime music. Her Gundam repertoire has also brought her to Super Robot Spirits, a concert series built around songs from mecha anime.
