Chris Standring in Laguna Beach

Chris Standring is a British guitarist and composer known for smooth jazz shaped by soul and jazz-funk grooves. After studying classical guitar at the London College of Music, he settled in Los Angeles and built a solo catalogue that includes Velvet, Hip Sway, Blue Bolero and Ten, as well as tracks such as “Cool Shades” and “Oliver’s Twist.” Chris Standring has performed on the American smooth-jazz festival circuit, including Berks Jazz Fest in Reading and the Seabreeze Jazz Festival in Panama City Beach. He also leads band dates in jazz clubs, among them PizzaExpress Jazz Club in London and Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood.
