Chris Stapleton in Virginia Beach

Chris Stapleton is an American country singer, songwriter and guitarist, born in Lexington in 1978. Before recording as a solo artist, he wrote songs in Nashville and fronted the bluegrass band The SteelDrivers. His 2015 solo debut, Traveller, introduced his recording of “Tennessee Whiskey” and was followed by songs including “Broken Halos,” “Starting Over” and “White Horse.” He launched the All-American Road Show in 2017, taking the headline tour through amphitheaters and arenas. In 2022, he presented A Concert for Kentucky at Kroger Field, then joined George Strait and Little Big Town for a series of stadium concerts in 2023 and 2024. He performs with a full band, singing lead and playing guitar, while Morgane Stapleton provides harmony vocals and tambourine.
