Christy Moore in Kildare

Christy Moore is an Irish folk singer, songwriter and guitarist, born in 1945 in Newbridge, County Kildare. He helped form Planxty and later Moving Hearts before building a solo repertoire that includes “Ride On,” “Ordinary Man,” “Lisdoonvarna” and “Joxer Goes to Stuttgart.” The 1994 album Live at the Point documented a concert at Dublin’s Point Theatre. Live at Vicar Street followed in 2002, and he subsequently returned to that theatre for multi-night concert runs. His shows centre on his voice, acoustic guitar and bodhrán. Many have featured guitarist Declan Sinnott, who also played on Ride On.
