Artist
Cimafunk is a Cuban singer, songwriter and bandleader born in Pinar del Río in 1989. His music draws on Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk and soul, and he became known through the song “Me Voy,” the album Terapia and its follow-up El Alimento. In 2019, Cimafunk brought his band La Tribu to NPR’s Tiny Desk in Washington, D.C. He and La Tribu later performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Glastonbury Festival.
