Citizen in Chicago

Citizen is an American rock band formed in Toledo, Ohio, in 2009. Their music draws on emo, post-hardcore and melodic punk, and they became known for the album Youth and songs including “The Night I Drove Alone,” “How Does It Feel?” and “Sleep.” Later records include Everybody Is Going to Heaven, As You Please and Life in Your Glass World. Citizen appeared on Vans Warped Tour during the 2010s as their audience expanded beyond the punk and hardcore club circuit. In 2023, they performed Youth in full to mark its tenth anniversary on the 10 Years of Youth tour.

Hotline TNT is an American shoegaze band formed in Minneapolis and led by singer-guitarist Will Anderson. Dense layers of distorted guitar and direct pop melodies shaped the albums Nineteen in Love and Cartwheel, home to songs including “I Thought You’d Change,” “Protocol” and “Trinity.” In 2023, Hotline TNT toured North America supporting Wednesday as Cartwheel arrived. Headline dates followed in the United States and Europe, alongside an appearance at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. The band’s live work has also reached Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Wide Awake in London.
