Clay Walker is an American country singer, born in Beaumont, Texas, in 1969. His self-titled debut album produced the country hits “What’s It to You” and “Live Until I Die,” while “Dreaming with My Eyes Open,” “If I Could Make a Living” and “This Woman and This Man” became further signature songs. In 2022, the Can’t Miss Tour paired Clay Walker with Tracy Lawrence and Randall King for a run of U.S. concerts. He has also performed at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry.
BlackHawk is an American country band formed in Nashville in 1992 by Henry Paul, Van Stephenson and Dave Robbins. The group’s close three-part harmonies became its musical signature on songs including “Goodbye Says It All,” “Every Once in a While,” “I Sure Can Smell the Rain” and “That’s Just About Right,” several of which appeared on its self-titled debut album. BlackHawk spent the 1990s touring behind its early albums as a full country band centered on the founders’ vocal blend. Stephenson withdrew from touring in 2000 while receiving treatment for cancer and died the following year; Henry Paul kept BlackHawk active onstage, and Dave Robbins later returned to the lineup.
