clipping. is an American experimental hip-hop trio formed in Los Angeles in 2009 by rapper Daveed Diggs and producers William Hutson and Jonathan Snipes. The group pairs Diggs’s tightly controlled delivery with noise, electronics and stark rhythmic tracks; its central releases include the albums CLPPNG, Splendor & Misery, There Existed an Addiction to Blood and Visions of Bodies Being Burned. In 2014, clipping. performed at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago during the touring cycle for CLPPNG. After the release of Splendor & Misery, the trio took its live set to Primavera Sound in Barcelona in 2017.
