Colin Quinn in Philadelphia

Colin Quinn is an American stand-up comedian, actor and writer, born in Brooklyn in 1959. He became widely known as a cast member and “Weekend Update” anchor on Saturday Night Live, following earlier television work on MTV’s Remote Control. He later hosted Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and built a body of solo comedy shows about history, politics and life in New York. Colin Quinn brought Long Story Short, directed by Jerry Seinfeld, to Broadway’s Helen Hayes Theatre in 2010. He followed it with Unconstitutional at the Barrow Street Theatre in 2013 and The New York Story at the Cherry Lane Theatre in 2015, continuing a solo format based on tightly structured comic monologues. In 2019, he examined American political divisions in Red State Blue State at the Minetta Lane Theatre.
