Timpuri Noi in Bucharest

Timpuri Noi is a Romanian rock band formed in 1983, known for alternative rock informed by post-punk, funk rock and hard-edged pop. Songs including “Perfect,” “Tanța,” “Luca” and “Stere,” together with the albums De regiune superior and Basca abundenței, established the group’s repertoire. The band’s early live history included performances at Club A in Bucharest, an important venue for the country’s underground rock scene. In 1994, Timpuri Noi released Unplugged în concert, documenting an acoustic concert built around Adrian Pleșca’s vocals and Dan Iliescu’s guitar.
