Cristela Alonzo in Brea

Cristela Alonzo is an American stand-up comedian, actor and writer, born in Texas in 1979. She created, wrote, produced and starred in the ABC sitcom Cristela, becoming the first Latina to fill all four roles on her own US prime-time comedy. She also voiced Cruz Ramirez in Pixar’s Cars 3, while her stand-up has been featured in the Netflix specials Lower Classy and Middle Classy. Netflix released Lower Classy in 2017 and Middle Classy in 2022, documenting two stages of her work as a touring comedian. Both are solo sets centered on family, money, class and her Mexican-American upbringing. A Cristela Alonzo headline show is a solo stand-up set built around personal storytelling.
