Artists
Cryptopsy is a Canadian technical death metal band from Montreal, active under that name since 1992. Their music is built on abrupt rhythmic changes, blast-beat drumming and highly technical guitar work. The albums Blasphemy Made Flesh, None So Vile and Whisper Supremacy established the group’s place in extreme metal. None So Live documents a 2002 performance at the Medley in Montreal. The band later brought the same tightly executed material to major metal festivals, performing at Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore and Hellfest in Clisson.
Vulvodynia are a South African band formed in Durban in 2014, playing deathcore and brutal death metal built around low-tuned riffs and slam passages. Their catalogue includes the albums Psychosadistic Design, Mob Justice, Praenuntius Infiniti and Entabeni. In 2022, Vulvodynia joined Archspire’s Tech Trek V tour in North America alongside Entheos and Inferi. The band later returned to European festival stages, performing at Hellfest in Clisson in 2024.
