About Culcha Candela
Culcha Candela are a German group formed in Berlin in 2001. Their music draws on reggae, dancehall, hip-hop and Latin pop, and they are known for songs including “Hamma!,” “Monsta,” “Berlin City Girl” and “Move It.”
The Schöne neue Welt Tour followed the 2009 album of the same name, taking the group into concert halls and festival grounds across German-speaking Europe. Culcha Candela presented the material as a multi-vocalist band show built around rap verses, sung choruses and dancehall rhythms. After the next album, they mounted the Flätrate Tour.
