Artist
Dam Swindle is a Dutch house duo formed in Amsterdam in 2011 by Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets. Originally known as Detroit Swindle, they make deep, disco-rooted club music and run Heist Recordings. Their best-known releases include the albums Boxed Out and High Life, as well as the tracks “The Break Up” and “64 Ways,” featuring Mayer Hawthorne. Detroit Swindle recorded a Boiler Room session at Dekmantel Festival in Amsterdam. The duo have also played fabric in London and Glastonbury Festival, performing back-to-back DJ sets built around house, disco and funk.
