Danny Rivera in San Juan

Danny Rivera is a Puerto Rican singer, born in 1945, whose repertoire centers on bolero, romantic ballads and nueva canción. He is known for interpretations of songs including “Madrigal,” “Mi viejo” and “Tu pueblo es mi pueblo.” Danny Rivera has presented concerts at the Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré in San Juan, performing the boleros and Puerto Rican songs central to his repertoire. He also brought this recital format to New York, where one of his performances was recorded at Carnegie Hall.
