Dante Spinetta in La Plata

Dante Spinetta is an Argentine singer, rapper, guitarist and producer, born in Buenos Aires in 1976. He co-founded Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas in 1990, bringing funk, hip-hop and rock together on records that included the song “Abarajame.” His solo catalogue includes the albums Elevado, Puñal and Mesa Dulce. In 1996, he recorded an MTV Unplugged performance as part of Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, later released as Ninja Mental MTV Unplugged. The duo then opened for U2 during the PopMart concerts at River Plate Stadium in 1998. In 2011, Dante Spinetta and Emmanuel Horvilleur reunited the group and began performing together again.
