Dead Meadow in Düsseldorf

Dead Meadow is an American psychedelic rock band formed in Washington, D.C., in 1998 by guitarist and singer Jason Simon, bassist Steve Kille and drummer Mark Laughlin. Heavy guitar riffs, extended psychedelic passages and Simon’s restrained vocals established the sound heard on albums including Dead Meadow, Howls from the Hills and Feathers. The 2010 concert film Three Kings documented the trio of Simon, Kille and Laughlin in performance, intercutting the music with surreal narrative sequences. A 2011 festival set was later released as Live at Roadburn 2011, preserving Dead Meadow’s power-trio format at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg.
