Deftones in Edinburgh

Deftones are an American alternative-metal band formed in Sacramento in 1988. Heavy guitar riffs, atmospheric textures and Chino Moreno’s shifting vocal style shaped albums including Around the Fur, White Pony and Diamond Eyes. Their best-known songs include “My Own Summer (Shove It),” “Change (In the House of Flies)” and “Digital Bath.” Deftones performed on Ozzfest in 1999, then joined Metallica, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and Mudvayne on the Summer Sanitarium Tour in 2003. In 2018, the band established the Dia de los Deftones festival at Petco Park in San Diego, building a recurring event around its own headline set and a multi-genre lineup. The band has headlined O2 Academy Brixton in London and played the city’s Wembley Arena in 2003.
