Deicide in Leipzig

Deicide are an American death metal band formed in Tampa in 1987, originally under the name Amon. Led by vocalist and bassist Glen Benton, the group became known for its explicitly anti-Christian lyrics and the albums Deicide, Legion, Once Upon the Cross and Serpents of the Light. The 1998 live album When Satan Lives documented a performance at the House of Blues in Chicago. The band later filmed a 2004 concert at the Mean Fiddler for When London Burns, then recorded its 2006 Knitting Factory show for the concert release Doomsday L.A.
