Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra in London

Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra is a British Afrobeat ensemble led by keyboardist and bandleader Dele Sosimi. Dele Sosimi played in Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 and later helped form Femi Kuti’s Positive Force; the orchestra’s repertoire includes material from his albums Identity and You No Fit Touch Am. New Empowering Church in London hosted the orchestra’s long-running Afrobeat Vibration residency, where the group performed extended arrangements with keyboards, guitars, horns and percussion. The ensemble has also taken that full-band format to Glastonbury and WOMAD.
