Deniz Tekin is a Turkish singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in İzmir in 1997. She first attracted attention through recordings shared online and released her debut album, Kozakuluçka, in 2017. Her best-known songs include “Beni Vur,” “Böyle” and “Hep Oturup Bekledim.” A Sofar Sounds session documented her performing in an intimate voice-and-guitar format. She later brought the same repertoire to headline concerts in clubs and theatres, particularly in Istanbul.
