Dirotta Su Cuba in Brucoli

Dirotta Su Cuba are an Italian funk and acid-jazz band formed in Florence in 1989. The core lineup of singer Simona Bencini, keyboardist Rossano Gentili and bassist Stefano De Donato became known through songs including “Gelosia,” “Liberi di, liberi da” and “È andata così,” as well as the album Dirotta su Cuba. Dirotta Su Cuba competed at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1997 with “È andata così.” After the original lineup reunited in the 2010s, the group resumed performing and marked the debut album’s twentieth anniversary with a concert at Blue Note Milano.
