Dispatch in Nantucket

Dispatch is an American rock band formed by Chad Urmston, Brad Corrigan and Pete Francis Heimbold while they were students at Middlebury College in Vermont. Their acoustic-led mix of roots rock, folk and jam-band music became known through albums including Silent Steeples and Bang Bang, as well as songs such as “The General,” “Out Loud” and “Bats in the Belfry.” In 2004, Dispatch staged the farewell concert The Last Dispatch at Boston’s Hatch Shell. The members reunited for the Dispatch: Zimbabwe benefit concerts at Madison Square Garden in 2007, then returned to sustained touring in 2011. In 2022, they joined O.A.R. for the Dispatch & O.A.R. Summer Tour.
