About Disturbed
Disturbed are an American metal band formed in Chicago in 1994. Their heavy, tightly rhythmic sound became widely known through “Down with the Sickness” and the debut album The Sickness, followed by songs including “Stricken” and “Inside the Fire.” Their version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence,” released on Immortalized, introduced a quieter side of David Draiman’s voice.
Disturbed launched the Music as a Weapon tour in 2001 and developed it into a recurring package featuring bands including Chevelle, Stone Sour and Killswitch Engage. They performed on the inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival in 2008, then took the Evolution World Tour on the road in 2019 and followed it with the Take Back Your Life Tour in 2023.
