DOES is a Japanese rock trio formed in Fukuoka in 2000. Its alternative-rock songs became closely associated with anime through “Shura,” “Donten,” “Bakuchi Dancer” and “Know Know Know” for Gintama, as well as “Guren” for Naruto: Shippuden. The 2016 DOES 10th Anniversary Live “Thanksgiving!” at Akasaka BLITZ preceded the band’s indefinite hiatus. DOES resumed activity in 2020 and returned to headline performances under the (R)evolution concert-series name. The group performs as a three-piece: Wataru Ujihara handles vocals and guitar, Yasushi Akatsuka plays bass, and Keisaku Morita plays drums.
