DZ Deathrays are an Australian dance-punk and garage-rock band formed in Brisbane in 2008 by Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley. Their catalogue includes the albums Bloodstreams, Black Rat and Bloody Lovely, as well as songs such as “Gina Works at Hearts,” “Northern Lights” and “Shred for Summer.” Following Bloodstreams, the band toured internationally and performed at the Reading and Leeds festivals. In 2015, DZ Deathrays moved onto Australian stadium stages as an opening act for Foo Fighters on the Sonic Highways World Tour.
